Police Jobs That German Shepherds Are Used In

There are many reasons that German Shepards are used in police jobs. The general public has trained these dogs to be calm dogs; however, it still not impossible for police to get what they need from these dogs. There are many reasons that the police choose this breed of dog over other dogs. These reasons include but certainly aren’t limited to: they are an extremely intellegent breed of dog, they are strong and obident to their owners, and this breed of dog has little fears.

The reason it is good that German Sherapds are smart is that it allows the police to know the dogs can handle specific police tasks. These dogs show their intellegence in many ways, while working and while domesticated in a home. My friend’s German Shepard was capable of eating corn on the cob like a human by eating one “row” of corn at a time and then turning the cob to eat the next row.

Another reason the police choose to use this dog is that are big dogs and strong dogs. Sometimes the look of the dog can scare away offenders or get the offender to do as the police wish of the offender so the offender cooperates. People like to have this breed of dog in their homes because they feel protected from being hurt in a home robbery. The dog works well in both home invastions and police tasks.

It is definitely also helpful that German Sherperds have little fear when approaching a police task or a bad situation going on in a person’s home. People count on German Sheraperd’s reliability to assist in bad situations. However, this breed of dog often knows when it’s appropriate to be loveable and when it’s appropriate to have no mercy. German sherpherds are definitely smart!
